Ways to boost our immunity
As the season starts to change and we navigate the realities of the Coronavirus, I have put together some tips and habits to help us stay healthy, hopeful and calm.

Keeping things clean
The basics of staying healthy is to keep all things clean, and that starts with washing our hands for at least 20 seconds with warm water and soap and reminding our kids to do the same.
In your kitchen wash your vegetables thoroughly and wipe down store bought supplies.
I am a fan of making my own cleaning solution that I use on everything – you can make it yourself by simply simmering a solution of 1 part vinegar to 2 parts water in a pan for 5 minutes.
You can add tea tree oil to the solution and use it to continually cleanse and spray your entire space.

Eating your greens
One of the simplest ways to boost your immune system is by filling your plate with nutritious, whole foods and greens. Don’t opt for the take out route while having your kids at home, experiment with some home cooked wholesome meals, try a new recipe or make a homemade broth

Boosting your immunity
No matter the season or time of the year, boosting your immunity with natural supplements like elderberry, zinc and vitamin C, or a cup of homemade broth are powerful ways to up your wellness.
Olive leaf extract and oregano essential oil are also great for boosting immunity.
Homemade immunity tonic:
Combine freshly squeezed or sliced ginger with freshly squeezed lemon juice, warm water, raw honey and
cayenne pepper

Me time and family time
Find the positive in self-isolating; cozy up on the sofa with your favourite book, build a puzzle with your kids, watch a movie – but try not to panic!! Panic creates a stress response in the body which can weaken the immune system so try stay present and stay calm.
Start a vegetable garden, get outside for fresh air, try an online pilates or yoga class and find other ways to reconnect with those you love xx
