What a beautiful way to start your morning!

I absolutely love a breakfast bowl filled with seasonal summer fruits, my favourite homemade granola and topped with superfoods is the greatest way to start a morning.

Homemade granola is so easy to make and you can add all the ingredients you love.

Homemade granola

3 cups of oats
1 cup of pumpkin seeds
1 cup of whole almonds (lightly crushed)
1 cup of sunflower seeds
1 cup of flaked almonds

1/2 cup coconut oil
2 T cinnamon
2 T maple syrup (optional) or add fresh honey on the day
Squeeze of fresh orange juice

Topping: Toasted coconut flakes and goji berries

1) Combine the oats and other seeds and nuts into a large mixing bowl
2) Melt the coconut oil over a low heat and add cinnamon, maple syrup and orange juice
3) Add the liquid mixture to the dry ingredients
4) Lay flat on 2 x baking trays
5) Bake for 45 minutes (or until golden brown) at 140C (with fan) stirring every 10 minutes
6) When the granola reaches room temperature, add in the toasted coconut flakes and goji berries
7) Store in a airtight container and enjoy xx

(it’s so delicious it won’t last long!)

Natural full fat yogurt
Fresh fruit that you love (my favourite are blueberries and blackberries)

Superfood sprinkle:
Hemp seeds – Excellent source of essential fatty acids including omega 3,6 and GLA
Chia seeds    – High quality protein and helps you stay full for longer
