Movement is powerful…..
we talk about it all the time and we know exercise is essential to our health but the one thing I have learnt over the years and seen in my clients is how movement enhances your mood.
During covid lockdown the need to move was such a big part of how people started to navigate their unknowns.
Physiologically, movement –
* increases serotonin, a brain chemical that helps regulate your sleep cycles, appetite and mood
*It increases the release of endorphins – the brain chemicals responsible for improving mood and giving you the “runners high”
*Movement increases heart rate and blood flow, increasing oxygen to the brain and reduces stress hormones.
Mentally – exercise distracts you from negative thoughts and patterns of thinking
*It promotes connection and community and helps improve confidence and self-esteem.
There is such value in showing up, daily – breathing, moving, lengthening and strengthening your body before you navigate your day.
All these reasons is why I love teaching and working in the world of wellness and movement and have loved creating this online series of classes for women – I am hoping that in some small way, when you move with me in my classes your body will make you feel as beautiful and as strong as you should feel everyday.
The online series offers a variety of classes for women of all ages and life stages from pregnancy, post-pregnancy and our regular classes.
