Who could not love a smoothie that is filled with superfoods created to balance our body from within and build a healthy microbiome –
from digestion to hormones, to glowing skin, increased energy levels, our mood, and even our body’s ability to fight disease.
This gut healthy smoothie is a balance of:
Kefir
Kefir is one of the most powerful probiotic and fermented foods that contain tiny friendly micro-organisms that help build our microbiome.
Spirulina
Spirulina is another of my favourite superfoods and I use it in many of my smoothies. It’s a blue green algae that acts as an antioxidant, improves oxygen transport throughout the body, builds and purifies blood and revitalises cells.
Blueberries
Who does not love a blueberry with it’s high levels of antioxidants and protection against premature aging.
Hemp
Hemp is a protein and contains all 20 known amino acids, the building blocks of protein. It’s rich in omega 3’s and helps in hormone balancing and digestive health.
